Cornerstone Arts Centre is opening its doors wide for a Visual Arts Takeover as part of Oxfordshire Artweeks 2026 (South Week: 2–10 May). We are looking for artists, makers, and creative collaborators to be part of it.
Next May, our building will become a hive of creativity, from the main gallery and study area to the auditorium, workshop rooms, and Maker’s Cabinets, with opportunities for artists to exhibit, perform, and share their work in new and exciting ways.
Opportunities include:
Large-scale visual art installations in our main gallery
Film screenings, performances, and interdisciplinary events
Artist-led workshops in painting, printmaking, ceramics, sculpture, textiles, set design, animation, and more
Craft and applied arts showcased for sale in the Maker’s Cabinets
We are exploring the broad theme of Stories of Arrival and Belonging, but the brief is open. We welcome bold ideas and creative interpretations across all disciplines.

Calling Artists…
Cornerstone Arts Centre is delighted to offer exhibition spaces to both established and emerging artists. We help artists gain exposure in our popular Oxfordshire setting which is open to the public six days a week.
Cornerstone has two spaces where we regularly exhibit work: the main gallery and the study, which is connected to our cafe. There are also various other areas we display work in our building, including our window wall which can be viewed from outside the building and our craft cabinets.
If you are interested in showing your work at Cornerstone you will need to send us an exhibition proposal including an exhibition title, details and images of the work, information on the artist(s) and any other relevant information.
You can submit this and send any questions/enquiries to galleryatcornerstone@southoxon.gov.uk
If you have any urgent queries, please contact box office on 01235 515144.
