1. This competition is owned and managed South Oxfordshire District Council (“the Council”) who run Cornerstone Arts Centre and whose registered office is at Abbey House, Abbey Close, Abingdon OX14 3JE
2. The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom except
a) employees of South Oxfordshire District Council
b) anyone otherwise connected with the Council
c) anyone judging the competition
d) anyone who may have been involved with donations towards the competition or
e) members of the immediate families or households of (a)(b)(c) and (d) above
3. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
4. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions. The Council reserve the right to refuse entry or to refuse to award a prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
5. At the Play2Give Christmas Fayre on Saturday 14 December 2024 we are offering residents the chance to win a family ticket (for 4 people) to see Cinderella on a date of their choosing subject to availability. This competition will be promoted across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Nextdoor, however you will need to enter in person at the Christmas Fayre.
6. One entry per person is allowed.
7. Closing date and time: Closing date is Saturday 14 December at 3pm when the event finishes.
8. No responsibility can be accepted by the Council for entries not received for whatever reason.
9. Rules of the competition – Complete a form at the Cornerstone Box Office with your contact details and your name will be put into a draw which will be made by Cornerstone staff on Monday 16 December 2024.
10. All competition entries and accompanying material e.g. photos submitted to the Council will become the property of the Council and will not be returned.
11. The Council reserve the right to hold void, suspend, cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice, where it becomes necessary to do so. Any changes to the competition terms and conditions will be notified to entrants as soon as practicable.
12. The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
13. The winners will be chosen on Monday 16 December 2024 by Cornerstone Arts Centre staff who will “pull” a name out of the locked box present at the event.
14. The winners will only be contacted by email, on Monday 16 December 2024. If a winner cannot be contacted or does not respond to claim the prize, the Council reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and select a replacement winner in accordance with the procedure described above.
15. The winners will be able to collect their tickets for their chosen performance of Cinderella from the Box Office. We will require proof of identity upon collection such as evidence of the email address, drivers licence etc.
16. The Council’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
17. Insofar as is permitted by law, the Council will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate a winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Council or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
18. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any court proceedings will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
19. The Council must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation the Council will send the surname and county of winners, to anyone who emails the Council at the following marketing@southandvale.gov.uk within one month after the closing date of the competition. If you object to any or all of your surname and county being published or made available, please contact the Council marketing@southandvale.gov.uk. In such circumstances, the Council must still provide the information on winning entries to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
20. The winners agree to the use of their name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent. If the winner does not wish to have their image published the Council`s marketing team can discuss other options with them at point of collection of the prize.
