Hopping into the Easter Holidays

With the Easter holidays fast approaching Cornerstone Arts Centre is providing lots of fun activities for all ages to get involved with whether it is crafting or new shows.

Cornerstone’s Easter line up kicks off with the critically-acclaimed theatre company the Pantaloons present an affectionately anarchic adaptation of Charles Dickens’ captivating coming-of-age chronicle Great Expectations on Tuesday 12 April for just £12.50 a ticket. Follow Pip the orphan on a journey through his eventful life with lots of hilarious turns and tragic twists.

Continuing on from this educational theme over the Easter holiday Morgan and West are returning with their Unbelievable Science show on Thursday 14 April. These two stellar performers have a past as qualified scientists and they’re using that background to educate and inspire on the stage for a family audience. Expect explosive thrills all backed up with the duo's trademark wit. Tickets are just £10 or £36 for a family of four

If you’re looking for another family show then Flotsam and Jetsam’s Adventures To The Trash Vortex is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser. This show is an interactive experience which tackles the important issue of the environment and especially plastic consumption in a fun and engaging way. Tickets are just £9.50 and adults can expect a few film references thrown in throughout the show just for them to spot.

Cornerstone is also looking to end the Easter holidays with some crafting for school years 1 to 6 in Chinese New Year Crafts. For just £6 all materials will be provided for your children to have some fun painting their own tigers whilst learning the traditions of the Chinese New Year. This is running as two separate workshops on Saturday 23 April.
