Thursday 28 July at Didcot Town Square as part of Didcot Garden Party

  • Poetry Picnic - A celebration of music and poetry, with poet Simon Mole and musician Gecko. We’ll do some fun (and quite silly) games to get to know each other and build your confidence and skill with words, then help you pen a poem with the power to send your picnic blanket skywards.

Didcot Garden Party is a summer long installation in Didcot Town Square just outside Cornerstone Arts Centre; injecting colour, life and fun into the heart of our town.  The Garden Party will feature a range of shows and workshops across the summer holidays from 23rd July to 31st August. There will be pop up events at various times, but the Garden Party site itself will be open throughout the week.

The town square in front of Cornerstone Arts Centre will be transformed for the Garden Party into a mini-festival site, providing a welcoming and relaxed environment. So if you want to try your hand out at an arts workshop, marvel at some street theatre, or just fancy wiling away the summer afternoons in a giant bean bag with a glass of something chilled, we've got you covered.
